Prairie Skies Family Dentistry is proud to bring a whole new level of care to the field of dentistry. Our team has served the Brookings community for many years. We have friendly faces that greet you, dentists who truly care about your dental health, and a facility with the most up-to-date technology to provide you with the highest quality of general and cosmetic dental care possible.
JoAnn is a native of Hayti, SD and received her dental assisting certificate from Lake Area Vo-tech in 1988. After spending 13 years as a chair side assistant she discovered she had a passion for the front office. Her friendly smile will likely be the first to welcome you to the office and she is happy to answer any questions you have about scheduling, billing, and insurance. In her free time, JoAnn enjoys camping with her husband and 3 children.
Ruth received her dental assisting certificate from Minnesota. With 20 years experience in a pediatric office Ruth is a great asset when it comes to children. Her warm smile and mothering instinct puts children and their parents at ease.
Katie received her dental assisting degree in 2004 from South Central College in Mankato, Minnesota. After spending 6 years as a surgical assistant in oral surgery, she made her way to the front office working as a business assistant. In 2017, Katie, her husband, and their daughter, moved to Brookings and that is when she joined the business staff at Prairie Skies Family Dentistry. Katie enjoys spending time with her family, working in the garden, and running and lifting weights.
Tara graduated from Lake Area Tech in 2014 with a dental assisting degree. She joined the Prairie Skies family in early 2018. Tara is a Brookings native, currently living in Arlington. When Tara isn’t helping patients with their dental health, she loves to travel and spend time with her husband and son.
Amanda has been a Dental Hygienist with Prairie Skies since 2016. She started her dental career as an assistant in 2006, and then continued her degree from the University of South Dakota Dental Hygiene program in 2014. She lives in Dell Rapids with her husband Nick, and their 2 children Trevor and Josephine. In her free time she enjoys running, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family. Amanda enjoys getting her patients back to a healthy state.
Tynna graduated from University of South Dakota in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Following graduation she began her career at an office in Brookings and then moved to Huron, where she worked for 4 1⁄2 years. In the summer of 2017 her family returned to Brookings and Tynna joined Prairie Skies. Tynna is dedicated to helping our patients improve their oral and overall health. Tynna loves spending her free time with her husband Jason, and their 2 sons as well as traveling and shopping.
Vicki joined the practice in 2016 as Treatment Coordinator as several years’ experience in the dental field. She and her husband, Scott, raised two daughters in Brookings. Vicki enjoys volunteering for her church and community. In herspare time she likes kayaking, hiking, and camping with friends and family.
Bri received her dental assisting certificate from Lake Area Tech in 2018. She lives in Brookings with her fiancé, Preston, and their dog, Chewy. In her spare time, she likes to go on walks and spend time with her family. Bri enjoys meeting our new patients and helping them feel comfortable.
Alicia started her dental career in 1996. She has lived in Brookings for 20 years where she helps raise her three children. Alicia loves spending time with her kids, exercise, and the outdoors. Overall health is important to Alicia, and she believes that oral health is just as important.
Tiffany is a recent dental assistant graduate from the Community and Technical College in Canby, Minnesota. She calls Hendrick, MN her home. In her free time, Tiffany loves hanging out and playing with her three nephews. Tiffany enjoys helping patients love their smiles and being a part of improving their oral health.
Amanda has been a part of our dental family since early 2018. She enjoys working to comfort patients and always strives to make Prairie Skies a more enjoyable environment. As a life long Brookings area resident, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, and attending local sporting events.
