Our Doctors

Dr. Erik Wiseman

Dr. Wiseman graduated from UNMC dental college in Lincoln, Nebraska. He has been practicing dentistry in Brookings since 2007. He loves working in a family-oriented office and taking the time to get to know his patients.

Outside of the office, Dr. Wiseman and his wife are busy raising six children. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys taking care of his small acreage.

Dr. Brock Tidstrom

Dr. Tidstrom was born and raised in Minnesota. He attended Gustavus Adolphus for undergraduate schooling in St. Peter, MN. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Dental School in 2013. Dr. Tidstrom spent two years working in Fairbanks, AK. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Catie, and their four daughters. Dr. Tidstrom enjoys hunting, fishing, riding his road bike, and downhill skiing. He looks forward to providing the Brookings, SD, area with compassionate dental care. He has a special interest in pediatric, cosmetic, and implant dentistry.

Our Dental Team

JoAnn

JoAnn is a native of Hayti, SD, and received her dental assisting certificate from Lake Area Technical Institute in 1988. After spending 13 years as a chair side assistant, she discovered she had a passion for the front office. Her friendly smile will likely be the first to welcome you to the office, and she is happy to answer any questions you have about scheduling, billing, and insurance. In her free time, JoAnn enjoys camping with her husband and three children.

Vicki

Vicki joined Prairie Skies in 2017, but has been in the dental field for many years. She spends time with patients and her welcoming smile always great to see.

Tara

Tara graduated from Lake Area Technical Institute in 2014 with a dental assisting degree. She joined the Prairie Skies family in early 2018. Tara is a Brookings, SD, native, who currently lives in Arlington, SD. When Tara isn’t helping patients, she loves to travel and spend time with her husband and two sons.

Lisa

Lisa grew up in Sioux Falls and earned her Dental Hygiene degree from the University of South Dakota in 1995. She and her family moved to Brookings in 2011. Lisa joined the Prairie Skies team in 2018 and enjoys helping patients achieve good oral health while making them feel comfortable. When not in the office, Lisa and family like fishing, camping, traveling, and anything outdoors.

Alicia

Alicia started her dental career in 1996. She has lived in Brookings, SD for 20 years, where she raised her three children. Alicia loves spending time with her kids, exercising, and being outdoors. Overall health is important to Alicia, and she believes that oral health is just as important.

Amanda

Amanda has been a Dental Hygienist with Prairie Skies since 2016. She started her dental career as an assistant in 2006. She continued her education at the University of South Dakota Dental Hygiene program, graduating in 2014. She lives in Dell Rapids, SD, with her husband Nick, and their three kids. In her free time, she enjoys running, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family. Amanda enjoys getting her patients back to a healthy state.

Shelby

Shelby graduated from Lake Area Technical Institute in 2013 from the dental assisting program. She moved to Brookings, SD, in 2016 with her husband, Eric, and their two children. Shelby enjoys spending time outside with her children and two dogs, running, and attending concerts in her spare time. Shelby’s favorite thing about being a dental assistant is helping patients get back to a healthy, confident smile.

Tynna

Tynna graduated from the University of South Dakota in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Following graduation, she began her career at an office in Brookings, SD, and then moved to Huron, SD where she worked for four and a half years. In the summer of 2017, her family returned to Brookings, SD, and Tynna joined Prairie Skies. Tynna is dedicated to helping our patients improve their oral and overall health. Tynna loves traveling, shopping, and spending time with her husband, Jason, and their two sons.
